The CATCH Jump into Health curriculum teaches children about healthy eating and physical activity. Children are introduced to the concepts of "Everyday Foods" and "Sometimes Foods" and learn about the importance of eating fruits, vegetables, and fiber and doing more physical activity. This program is based on the social learning theory. The curriculum includes instructions and hands-on methods for helping children understand the concept of good health. Activities include taste testing, singing songs, and group work.

What's inside: A teacher resource guide, reproducible handouts, transparency masters, suggestions for hands-on activities, background on major topics, and activities for children to practice at home what they learned at school. Parent letters, including recipes to prepare at home, are also included in the kit.
