Description

In this engineering/design activity, learners make a kite, fly it, and then work to improve the design. Learners explore how their kite design variations affect flight. Learners can test their kite outdoors on a breezy day, or indoors where an electric fan is available. Resource includes historical and background information related to kites as well as tips for kite building. This activity is aligned to NSES (Physical Science, History and Nature of Science) standards.
