Description

This assortment of mathematical games can be played while traveling. Suggestions include: estimate time until arrival and use a watch to track it; talk about turns and directions; count traffic signs and discuss their shapes and frequency; compare distances; play "I Spy"; multiply numbers by a factor. These kinds of activities can help improve number sense, and can cultivate curiosity, understanding and problem solving.
