Learners conduct an experiment in which they measure the speed of cars rolling down tracks with various inclines to determine which incline produces the highest speed. During the activity, learners identify independent, dependent, and control variables, create a hypothesis, collect data, and draw a conclusion. The activity may be used to enhance learning that happens before or after a visit to the FlowWorks exhibit at the Children's Museum of Houston, but a visit is not required. An associated Teacher's Packet provides additional resources and extensions. Less
