Description
This is the second part of a two-part exercise in which students perform an audit and analysis of energy consumption in their homes. In this part, students will estimate the amount of energy they use in their homes and investigate how their lifestyle impacts this amount. They will consider various sources of energy loss and the number of air exchanges per hour. Then, they will use the parameters they measured in the previous exercise (Home Energy Audit) and an online calculator to determine energy costs. They will then consider ways to reduce these costs. These two activities should be done in conjunction with one another. Less
