Description
This library features images depicting the origins and development of major scientific and technological advances collected from a variety of sources in Great Britain, including the Science Museum, the National Railway Museum, the National Museum of Photography, Film, and Television, and related collections. The pictures are arranged by topic: atomic and nuclear physics, chemistry, electricity and magnetism, optics, and many others. The collection is also searchable by keyword or term, and the images are accompanied by a title, description, reference number, credits, and keywords. Users may download low-resolution watermarked images for evaluation or layout purposes; a small service fee is charged for use of digital images in a final product, or for loan of transparencies. Prints may also be purchased from a print-sales web site. Less
