In this next video, the students begin to read an excerpt from their history/social studies textbook titled, “People Need Laws.” As you watch, pay close attention to:

- How the student discussion in section 4.1 helped activate students’ prior knowledge without giving away the information in the text
- What students are doing to aid in their comprehension
