Digital Narratives

Logo iTELL

Digital Storytelling is the practice of using computer-based tools to tell stories. Much like traditional storytelling, digital stories focus on a specific topic and contain a particular point of view. However, digital stories typically contain a mixture of computer-based images, text, recorded audio narration, video clips and/or music. Technology-based projects allow ELL students to draw on their cultural strengths and background experiences.

Projects that incorporate visual and aural media address a variety of learning styles and modalities. By constructing knowledge, students become active learners, producers, and researchers and can share their end results with others.
