Advisory Council R&R

The Butte County BTSA Induction Program works with districts and universities to support teachers at various levels of the Learning to Teach Continuum. District partnerships are critical in the effective implementation of program goals. Thank you for your support of this program.


  • Assist with identification of new and/or beginning teachers and Support Providers/make early contact
  • Monitor the Support Provider selection process (responsibility of site administrator) to ensure selection and match with Participating Teacher is completed prior to beginning of school or within five days of hire
  • Collaborate with BTSA Induction Program Administrator regarding the Participating Teacher Orientation to BTSA
  • Understand the new Induction Standards and their relationship to the pre-service standards

  Meetings/Professional Development

  • Attend all BTSA Advisory Council meetings or send representative
  • Participate in the Butte County BTSA Induction accreditation cycle
  • Attend Colloquium


  • Review Accountability Report with district administrators (bi-annually)
  • Provide regular BTSA Induction communication and updates to district and site administrators
  • Represent district in all voting issues relevant to induction and policies necessary to systematize the credential approval process
  • Attend one Portfolio Review (May)
