After students have completed the activity in pairs, Maria brings the class back to review an example that she observed. She takes this opportunity to highlight a multiple meaning word, calf, and clear up any confusion that students might have about how to classify the word.


Maria wraps up the lesson by revisiting the definitions of the words and reviewing what students have learned from the day’s lesson. She takes this last opportunity to have students share their personal experiences with classifying and categorizing.
