Natomas High School, Classroom Support

Instruction for English learners at Natomas High School focuses on engagement and collaboration. One way Natomas High School classrooms engage EL students is by having them create informative products that have relevance in both the classroom and the real world. The videos below, exemplify students using research to create a brochure for incoming freshmen on the topic of bullying, using Chromebooks to make presentations in class more effective, and engaging in collaborative conversations to critique the work of their classmates. All of these classroom examples provide an opportunity for students to be engaged in work that is directly applicable to their future in the work force.

Thank you to the three teachers in the following videos for their permission to include the videos from their classroom: Jennifer Dithridge, Jeff Bryan, and Lyn Bigelow.
